What is the difference between Vauxhall and Opel?

Vauxhall is only Vauxhall in the UK, but everywhere else it's Opel....does anyone know why?|||The difference is mostly the name? Years ago GM combined the two but kept separate names, the Vauxhall name is used in the UK and are usually right hand drive vehicles, Opel is the German name used in the rest of the world, mostly Europe though. They are usually left hand drive vehicles.

www.opel.com|||not from what I know of cars - an Opel is a sleek car - two seater, very rare sort of sports car - a vauxhall is a sor to standard low priced get around car - two completley different makes.|||Nothing
