How to enter pin code for radio in vauxhall astra 1997?

I have just bought a vauxhall astra but the radio won't come on.I have the pin code but how do you enter it.I have put the code in but nothing happens.Please does somebody know?|||hi, assuming you have not blocked the radio by trying to put the code in already this is how.


radio codes are normally four digits,


turn on the ignition, and turn off the radio.


turn radio back on and press the code button (you may have to hold it down for about 3 seconds)


when the display is flashing, you can enter the code,


this is done by working from left to right on the numbers on the front of the radio,


you must keep pressing each number in turn, until the desired first number of the code appears, you then repeat the process another three times, using the next three numbers, i.e say your code would be 9,4,7,1.


you press number 1 on your radio until number 9 appears on the display, then you move on to number 2 on the radio, until number 4 appears and so on.


when you have done this you then press the code button again to enter the code into the radio and your done.

there must be a way of entering the code into the radio just try putting the numbers in without the code button.|||if you have tried entering the code more than three times it is a trip to the dealers.


otherwise place key in ignition turn the radio on enter the code by the buttons numbered one to six with the code if it does not work it is blocked. look in your local papers for a garage or shop that unlocks radios for a tenner|||its cheaper to get a new radio
