I have a Vauxhall Zafira. Two orange dashboard lights come on when driving. What should I do?

The light with the car %26amp; spanner %26amp; the one with the car in a triangle with skid tracks trailing the wheels either remain on or later come on. It costs 拢45 just to have a diagnostic test done on it %26amp; then the cost of fixing it. My question really is: Is there the possibility that Vauxhall can tell me that it is something really terrible when in fact it could be something simple? Or is there a cheaper way of sorting this out as who wants to get stung at this time of year?|||Look in the instruction book, the one with the spanner is probably a reminder that it requires servicing....not sure about the second one with the skids...maybe traction control not working, it should say in the instruction book.....just take it in for a service if it needs one and it should all be sorted out...nobody said motoring was cheap.|||one of them is for a service due the other i might say would be your abs. possibly the abs ring has broken off you will easily see this under the vehicle on your cv joint that goes in to the wheel. The light showing its a fault. you will need to replace the cvs to rectify. not an expensive thing to do roughly 50 pounds each|||i had this on my citreon picasso butmy friend has a diagnostic machine he put it on computer for 5 mins found the fault then it was just muck on a sensor he charged me a few quid thats all it nite not be much but take it 2 sum 1 who u know good look any thing i an help u with just emailme|||Cheapest way would be to take the bulbs out ?!?!?!

But i'd pay the money to get it check out or you could be looking at a even bigger bill , maybe for a new engine if you don't get it checked!!!|||Hi

At the very least you need to have access to an OBDII code reader, and at the very most, a Tech 2 scanner.

Im afraid you have no choice but to have it scanned and repaired.

You should be able to find a non-dealer garage who have the relevant software and hardware to sort your car out.

Don't take the route of a cheap fix, it will turn into the most expensive fix of your life in the long run.

Very best regards

Geordie|||WITHOUT A SCANNER YOU HAVE NO CHOICE UNLESS YOU HAVE A FRIEND WITH AT LEAST A CODE READER.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU GET YOUR VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED TO FIND OUT JUST WHAT THE PROBLEM IS FIRST SO THEN YOU WILL HAVE SOME IDEA WHAT IS WRONG AS WELL AS WHAT TO EXPECT.

TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR ANY CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE PERSONAL SERVICE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE.
