Vauxhall Frontera Sport immobiliser fault. Does anyone out there know how to reprogramme key fob?

I have a Vauxhall Frontera with an immobiliser which is a silver disc similar to a watch type battery on a black plastic key fob. Before starting the vehicle you touch the silver disc to the docking station on the dashboard which activates the immobiliser enabling you to start the engine. My car battery has failed and upon replacing it the immobiliser doesn't work %26amp; the car won't start. Is there a way to reprogramme the system?|||you need to take it to vauxhaull dealer they do it on computer. you could also try disconnecting the battery again for a few mins then reconnecting sometimes this works.http://www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/s鈥?/a> you could try daves idea bottom of page|||you need to go to a vauxhall dealer to have your key done its costs about 80 quid i had the same problem|||Sorry dude I think you need to take the key down to your local Vauxhall dealer to have it re-programed!!! In the olden days most car had the facility to re-program or pair the key to the car in side the car. For example a 306, in these cars all you need to do is turn the ignition on to the first click then press the button on the key and the button on the steering column.

Ja.
