Why will the passenger door on my Vauxhall Astra not open?

I have a Vauxhall Astra Estate (S reg). The central locking works the two front doors and one of the passenger doors but not the other. I can't even open the passenger door manually. Any suggestions please on how I can fix the problem?|||what the guy said above me, is what i was gonna say.

make sure you dont have the child safety lock.

goodluck(:|||OK

If you can't pull up the button to unlock the door from the inside then the central locking is still engaged inside the door.

It is dsigned to be difficult to open.

You will need to remove interior trim panels etc to expose the mechanism.

See if you can find a Haynes manual for this...

This may have been caused by a break in the wires running from the body to the door in the lower hinge area. This could be quite difficult to fix. However if you can unlock it internally you should be able to open the door and lock/unlock manually.

Happened to me with central locking on a K Reg Cavalier tailgate ....

Good luck !|||Sometimes there's a little lever where the door shuts that you can push down or up--it's hard to find so basically just look where the metal hook on the door connects with the rest of the car and push this hook up or down. This has been added for child safety and such....but if you can't get the door open to switch it in the first place then I'm not sure what to do!! If you ever get the door open, try switching this and see if it works. Good luck!|||Sounds like the interconnecting lever between the lock and the solenoid have parted. You need to open the door from the inside, remove the door panel and try to re-connect the lever.

Ja.|||if it is jammed shut try get in some one to pull the handle from outside and you get in the car and give it a kick but be carefull not to hit any handles or anything might sound daft but i guarantee it will work
